Java Backend Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role requires strong expertise in backend development using modern Java frameworks and hands-on experience building scalable microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java 8/11 and Spring Boot

• Design and implement microservices with high performance and reliability

• Build, integrate, and maintain REST APIs for internal and external applications

• Work with Kafka for event-driven systems and real-time data processing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product, Frontend)

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture discussions

• Debug, optimize, and enhance existing services for scalability and performance

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Java 8/11

• Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot

• Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture

• Practical exposure to Kafka

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
