This role is responsible for ensuring material availability to support production schedules while optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs, and improving overall supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage material planning, inventory control, receiving, warehousing, and material movement activities.
- Develop and maintain inventory strategies that support production requirements while minimizing excess inventory.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, operations, and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Analyze material requirements and production forecasts to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory turns, material flow, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, service levels, and material availability.
- Manage and develop materials management personnel through effective leadership, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Support ERP/MRP system utilization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain management, or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, MRP/ERP systems, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) is a plus.
