Our client, a growing company in the product manufacturing and engineering industry, is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join a small, high-impact technical team. You’ll work in extensive fabrication and R&D facilities, supporting the creation and development of innovative B2B and B2C products. This role is ideal for someone who doesn’t just design circuits—they build real-world solutions. You'll help bring concepts to market through reliable, manufacturable, and high-quality designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead 1–2 major product development initiatives through the structured product launch process.
- Serve as the Engineering Lead and subject-matter expert for electrical design topics.
- Deliver electrical designs that are technically sound, manufacturable, and production-ready.
- Champion DFMA (Design for Manufacturability & Assembly) best practices across projects.
- Lead or facilitate electrical design reviews to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Develop test plans, validation procedures, and prototype test fixtures.
- Support structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis for quality or design issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Product Management, Production, Quality, and Purchasing.
- Provide electrical engineering support across various internal divisions as needed.
- Benchmark competitive products and identify opportunities for product or process innovation.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of AC and DC electronic design experience (analog, digital, and/or high-voltage).
- Experience with low and high voltage systems (including 480V).
- Strong capability in designing for manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of motors and how they operate.
- Degree preferred, but 8–10 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
- Strong familiarity with standard electrical and mechanical terminology and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3-phase systems.
- Basic understanding of IoT technologies and vendor resources.
- Proficiency with CAD tools for electrical design.
- Mechanical engineering experience coupled with strong electrical capabilities.
