What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at NLB Healthcare?
Job Summary:
We are hiring a California - Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care setting. The LPN will be responsible for patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, emergency response, documentation, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments; report abnormal findings to Charge RN and MD
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies
- Perform nursing procedures including IV starts, blood draws, EKGs, specimen collection, and wound care
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition and response to treatment
- Initiate and assist with emergency and resuscitation measures as required
- Provide patient and family education in a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive manner
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies
- Assist with patient transfers, diagnostics, and coordination with other departments
Required Qualifications:
- Active California LPN License.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
