What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elect Engineer position at NKC of America?
Develop job specifications when needed
Perform analysis of jobs to create a sequence of operation
Work with the customer to develop a set of Approval drawings
Use AutoCAD to create drawings
Coordinate with customers on meetings, and changes for job
Coordinate with purchasing of pricing for components for jobs
Purchase and track parts required for the job
Develop a PLC program for the job including configuration, comment development, and ladder logic
Develop an HMI program for the job including configuration, screen development, and PLC logic
Coordinating with site personnel to ensure proper installation is performed
Arrange travel plans for site checks, meetings, and commissioning
Site commissioning including debugging of electrical installation, HMI/PLC configurations, and operational capability
Performing onsite training with maintenance personnel
Reading/making time charts to translate into the PLC program
Perform electrical checkout of complete equipment in the panel shop
BS. degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent program
Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint
10 years of experience
Proficient with PLC5, PLC500, Control Logix 5000, Omron CX (CS1/CJ2), Mitsubishi (A-series/Q-series), GE Machine Edition (90-30/90-70), Sharp, Yaskawa, Pilz, and Toyopuc PLC software
Proficient with Allen Bradley HMI (600/1000/1000 /Panelview Plus), Omron (NS), Mitsubishi GOT (800/900/1000/2000), Proface, and Cimplicity HMI software.
Self-motivated to complete jobs without having to be managed
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work extended hours when needed and be able to work at night or weekends
Experience with Automotive Conveyors (Chain/EMS/Friction/et al.)
