Architectural–Interior Design Technician Rineer Designs LLC | York, Pennsylvania | On-Site Rineer Designs LLC, an award-winning residential and commercial design firm, is seeking an experienced Architectural–Interior Design Technician to join our team at our York, Pennsylvania Design Studio. This is a technical, drafting-focused position supporting the President – Director of Design and design team in developing accurate, coordinated, and buildable construction documents from established design concepts. Our projects include residential renovations and additions, new homes, kitchens and baths, primary suites, whole-home transformations, outdoor living environments, custom cabinetry and millwork, and commercial interiors. We are seeking someone who enjoys the technical side of architecture and interior design and understands how design details translate into construction. Responsibilities Develop accurate AutoCAD construction-document sets. Prepare existing-condition and proposed floor plans, foundation plans, roof plans, exterior elevations, building sections, and construction details. Produce interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, and interior architectural details. Develop detailed drawings for kitchens, bathrooms, custom cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural millwork. Assist with architectural drawings for outdoor living spaces, including porches, patios, decks, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, pavilions, and related exterior features. Field measure residential and commercial spaces and accurately document existing conditions. Assist with commercial interior construction documents, including accessibility, egress, life-safety, and applicable code requirements. Coordinate technical information with contractors, engineers, cabinetmakers, fabricators, vendors, and other project professionals. Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, coordination, and constructability. Qualifications Education or professional training in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Drafting, Construction Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience preferred. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D. Professional experience producing residential architectural and/or interior construction documents. Working knowledge of residential construction and the IRC; Pennsylvania UCC experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of commercial interior codes, IBC, accessibility, egress, and life-safety requirements is preferred. Experience with kitchen and bath documentation, cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural millwork detailing is highly desirable. Experience with field measuring and existing-condition documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to review work for accuracy. SketchUp or other 3D modeling experience is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for project-site visits. Position Details This is an on-site position at our Design Studio in York, Pennsylvania. Remote work is not available. Some travel to residential and commercial project sites is required for field measurements and project coordination. We are happy to teach the right candidate Rineer Designs' standards and processes, but candidates should already have an established understanding of architectural drafting, construction documentation, and how buildings are constructed.
