Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Administer vaccinations, perform minor procedures such as suturing and dermal filler injections, and manage wound care using aseptic techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate patient care through case management, discharge planning, and referrals to specialists such as gastroenterology or infectious disease experts.
- Provide health coaching and education on disease prevention, medication adherence, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
- Manage triage calls via telehealth platforms, assess patient symptoms, and determine appropriate levels of care including urgent care or hospitalization.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, or medical imaging when necessary.
- Support patients with complex needs such as assisted living residents or individuals with developmental disabilities by delivering specialized care tailored to their unique requirements.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates, CPT coding standards, ICD-10 coding practices, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and optimal billing practices.
Experience
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from an accredited program.
- Proven experience in primary care settings with familiarity in outpatient clinics or hospital environments.
- Prior work with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or those requiring hospice & palliative medicine is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner is essential for seamless documentation.
- Demonstrated competence in performing procedures like IV infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, or dermal fillers.
- Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is a plus; familiarity with acute pain management and emergency medicine enhances your candidacy.
- Knowledge of occupational health protocols including Workers' Compensation law and infection control standards is advantageous.
