Job description
NJA Architecture is a design practice founded on the ideas that Architecture can serve as a connection between culture, people, and place and that its surroundings have a positive effect on people’s lives. The firm’s work is diverse with wineries, breweries, cultural and civic projects, multi-family and multi-use, museums and exhibition design, places of worship, urban planning, and interior design.
The office operates as an open studio environment that allows for creative, collaborative, and progressive ideas to flow freely. We take part in weekly crits that allow us time to collectively step away from our desks, gather around the table, and connect, all while creating an easygoing environment for sharing ideas.
Currently, we are seeking an Architectural Project Manager who can help contribute to the overall excellence of work produced by NJA.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of architectural designs, from concept through construction documentation.
- Prepare design presentations, including renderings, diagrams, and drawings, to effectively communicate project ideas.
- Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure design intent and project goals are met.
- Conduct site visits, document field conditions, and coordinate with contractors during construction.
- Research materials, building codes, and other design requirements to inform project development.
- Support the team in producing and reviewing submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
Must-haves
- Minimum 5-10 years of post-bachelors degree Architecture firm experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or another related field.
- An innovative style with interest in sustainability issues, research and development, and project delivery.
- Experience working in more complicated projects (i.e. multi-use developments and multifamily).
- Ability to demonstrate deep knowledge and comprehension of all phases of project design from pre-design through construction administration.
- A strong team member with a passion to manage projects with high expectations for design excellence and client satisfaction.
- Significant experience coordinating in-house team production as well as coordinating directly with clients, builders, and consultant teams.
- Solid track record of project delivery success.
Software Skill Requirements
- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft office
