Summary;
The Facilities Technician - RiverLINE performs maintenance and repair of building infrastructure and systems.
Roles and Responsibilities;
- Inspection, service, and repair of various electric components including motors, pumps arid controls, lighting and distribution systems.
- Inspection of various electronic building components.
- Inspection, service, and repair of air hydraulic systems including lifts, pumps, motors, compressors, and distribution networks.
- Inspection, service, and repair of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment, including boilers, unit heaters, air handlers, chillers/compressors, and related equipment.
- Repair various building systems including plumbing, roofing and masonry.
- General building construction and maintenance, including working on ladders, aerial platform, or scaffold.
- Safely operate heavy duty construction vehicles, including dump trucks, snowplows, spreaders, aerial boom truck, backhoe, and front-end loader,
- Safely operate basic equipment, including compressor, jack hammer, compactors, and power tools.
- Clean up and debris removal of construction areas.
- Read and review plans, manuals, reports and instructions and apply information to repair building systems and infrastructures.
- Work in collaboration with other employees and contractors/vendors when directed.
- Report and log activities completed and recommendations for future maintenance and repairs.
- Work as a flagman to provide on track for protection of employees and contractors
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- High School graduate, GED or trade/technical school or equivalent.
- and minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the maintenance, repair and construction of industrial buildings and structures.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Working knowledge of building systems including plumbing, roofing, electrical and HVAC plus working knowledge and familiarity with electric, plumbing and building codes.
- Familiar with the use of electrical and HVAC test equipment for troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify and use electric and hand operated tools.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid NJ Driver’s License
