Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning, procurement, implementation, and lifecycle management of mechanical equipment and fleet assets.
- Coordinate and align with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Procurement, Capital Programs, and Budgets to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact/liaison between the Mechanical and Procurement departments, facilitating clear communication and decision-making.
- Ensure all mechanical asset projects adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and organizational policies, in collaboration with other subdepartments within Mechanical.
- Track performance metrics related to cost, timeline, quality, and operational impact of new and existing assets.
- Support procurement strategies and vendor selection processes, ensuring reliability, and lifecycle performance.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing post-implementation performance and incorporating lessons learned into future projects.
- Prepare and/or deliver presentations and reports to senior leadership regarding project milestones, status updates, and forecasts.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications/Knowledge &Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- And 8 years of experience in mechanical asset or equipment project management, preferably in a transportation, utilities, or heavy industry setting.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, asset lifecycle planning, and fleet operations.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects on-time and within budget.
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards governing mechanical systems and fleet operations.
- Proficient in project management tools, ERP systems, and reporting dashboards.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- One year of closely related experience can be substituted for each year of education required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP systems, particularly Oracle, for planning software, and data dashboards.
- Exceptional professionalism, collaboration, and communication abilities.
