Job Summary
The Site Inspection Coordinator / Field Technician will be responsible for attending scheduled township inspections at solar installation job sites and conducting detailed site visits. This role requires accuracy in measurements, clear documentation, and experience working with inspections. The ideal candidate must be a New Jersey resident with reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend solar installation job sites to meet township building and electrical inspectors.
- Represent NJ Solar Power professionally during all inspection appointments.
- Conduct site visits to gather project-specific information, including electrical service, attic/rafter details, and structural measurements.
- Take accurate measurements and detailed photographs using a smartphone, then upload promptly to the company’s system.
- Maintain organized records of site visits, inspections, and measurements.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and office staff to ensure smooth scheduling and reporting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Inspection or construction-related experience required.
- Accuracy in measurements and attention to detail is essential.
- Must be a resident of New Jersey.
- Reliable transportation and a valid NJ driver’s license.
- Comfortable working in attics and other structural spaces when necessary.
- Proficient in using a smartphone for photos, uploads, and basic documentation.
- Strong professionalism when interacting with inspectors, clients, and coworkers.
Preferred Skills (not required)
- Background in solar, electrical, or construction fields.
- Familiarity with building and electrical inspection processes.
- Experience using project management apps or cloud-based photo sharing.
