We are largely a co-occurring practice, with many of our clinicians being dually credentialed or seeking training and supervision in those areas. Beyond treating mental health conditions and substance use disorders, our clinicians also treat gambling and gaming disorders, and compulsive sexual behaviors, making our practice a go-to referral source for process addictions.

~ JOB DESCRIPTION ~
POSITION: Clinician
SUPERVISED BY: Director
POSITION PURPOSE
To provide counseling services under the direction of the Director. The Clinician will ensure compassionate patient-centered care is delivered in a safe manner to individuals seeking counseling services.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s Degree minimum requirement
- Working knowledge of DSM V
- Working knowledge of levels of care
- 3 years’ experience working with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions
- 3 years’ experience working with adults, adolescents, and families in individual and group settings
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Current NJ Licensure as a LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist
- Current NJ Licensure as an LCADC or documented clinical experience working with substance use disorders (ADC Interns considered)
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Documentation of continued education
AGE SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS SERVED/RESPONSIBILITY:
- Adults

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Provide behavioral health and substance use evaluations
- Conduct Mental Status Exams and initiate / update Treatment Plans for client in accordance with level of care standards
- Maintain client record and case management documents routinely
- Communicates with outside entities on behalf of patients
- Respond to, care for and/or refer patients for emergent care when co-occurring needs are identified and cannot be met at facility, including accessing 911
- Consult with others on the treatment team as needed for enhancement of client care
- Provides crisis intervention when necessary
- Attend clinical staff meetings and supervision meetings as scheduled
- Provides accurate and timely interventions and documentation
- Participate in Performance Improvement projects
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and ethical standards with colleagues and patients to assure an appropriate setting and safe environment
- Participate in professional continuing education as required by licensure and seek to enhance current skills in areas pertinent to client care
- Engage in professional networking and similar marketing public relations functions as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge or Skill:
- Provide compassionate and empathetic attention and care to patients
- Proficient organization and time management skills
- Upholds organizational mission, values and vision and supports the integrated process of care while exhibiting integrity and ethics in all endeavors
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders and associated co-morbidities
- Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State and Regional regulations, including Accreditation standards that govern treatment of Substance Use Disorders including confidentiality, patient rights, ethics and discrimination
Pay: $35.00 - $95.00 per hour
