What are the responsibilities and job description for the Milt Hinton Instructor position at NJ PERFORMING ARTS?
Instructors (pay range $1650 - $2000)
Subject to the policies and management direction established by the Vice President for Arts Education, the Instructor is responsible for the specific duties, including, but not limited to the following:
Serve as faculty for Milt Hinton Institute for Studio Bass (MHISB) occurring Sunday, July 19 - Saturday, July 26, 2026.
Lead and facilitate instructional sessions based upon the schedule provided to you by the Curriculum Coordinator, Milt Hinton Institute, with curricular approval by the Director, Milt Hinton Institute for Studio Bass.
Work with an ensemble and prepare the students for the recording sessions and the student culminating event on July 26, 2026.
Review and complete 3 virtual training modules, engaging with all provided materials and completing all assignments in full. Complete all modules and assignments by June 30, 2026.
Attend faculty meetings when requested by the Director, Milt Hinton Institute for Studio Bass and Sr. Director, Arts Education Performances & Special Initiatives, NJPAC.
Recruit students to participate in the program and post program marketing on social media during the recruitment period of January – June 2026.

Serve as a positive mentor and role model for MHISB attendees.
Any additional services mutually agreed upon by the Employee, the Director, Milt HInton Institute for Studio Bass and Sr. Director, Performances and Special Initiatives, NJPAC.
Salary : $1,650 - $2,000
