About the Role

As our Lead Finish Carpenter / Foreman, you’ll oversee day-to-day job site operations and crews while executing detailed finish carpentry work. You’ll lead by example, setting the standard for craftsmanship, organization, and professionalism on every project.

We specialize in high-end residential remodeling, so attention to detail and pride in your work are non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute finish carpentry work including custom trim, cabinetry, millwork, doors, crown molding, and wainscoting
• Read and interpret blueprints and detailed construction documents
• Manage and mentor junior carpenters and laborers
• Coordinate with project managers to align materials, schedules, and sequencing
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Troubleshoot challenges and proactively solve problems
• Represent NJ Dream Builders professionally with clients and trade partners

What We’re Looking For

Experience:
5–10 years of residential remodeling experience with strong finish carpentry background (custom/high-end preferred) including - trim, cabinetry, framing, and decking. Minor electrical, plumbing and tile is preferred.

Leadership:
Proven ability to run a small crew, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain strict quality control

Technical Skill:
Advanced knowledge of trim, cabinetry, molding installation, and general carpentry best practices

Blueprint Proficiency:
Comfortable reading and executing from detailed plans and specifications

Physical Capability:
Able to lift materials, work on ladders, and handle physically demanding tasks

Transportation:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites throughout NJ

Work Ethic:
Professional, punctual, detail-driven, and committed to excellence
