This job opportunity is for an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D0872P01, within the AASF-1 of the New Jersey Army National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.
It's purpose is to inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify software controlled automated and manually controlled test stations,
Qualifications:
General Experience:Must have the following experience(s):
- Removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components
- Making adjustments and settings according to established specifications
- Using hand tools and test equipment
Must have 18 months of the following experience(s):
- Installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting
- Functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification
- Coordinating the work of other mechanics
- Scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow
- Instructing lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines
Responsibilities:
As an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-12, you will:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems
- Maintain, modify, calibrate, and inspect a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment
- Troubleshoot operational malfunctions and analyze system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams.
- Recommend methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures
- Apply technical data and equipment specifications to determine the impact that equipment modifications or substitutions will have upon integrated multi-system operations and various maintenance alignment procedures.
