Niyam is seeking a Senior System Analyst to join our team in support of our work with a federal client. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and upgrading the EMS portal and will provide support to the client for the continued development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the client EMS portal.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Evaluating information systems to assess their suitability for client's needs and projected outcome; and liaising with end users, software vendors, and programmers in order to achieve the projected outcomes.
- Analyzing science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
- Performing systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations.
- Researching unconventional applications for designing and developing new methodologies, modifications, or adaptations of standardized techniques.
- Defining and/or analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions, and implementing computer system requirements.
- Analyzing user needs and developing solutions for the organization or client with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency.
- Providing support for software applications and project teams in recommending, designing, and implementing new solutions regarding the IT environment.
- Responsible for ensuring that the client EMS Web Portal includes a series of standardized and custom program management reports that may be generated using all available data accessible from conformance audit data findings and compliance audit findings. The standard and custom reports shall support regulatory requirements, as well as client initiated performance metrics.
Requirements:
- US Citizen with ability to obtain a public trust.
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field.
- 8 years of experience with Information Technology (IT), with at least three years of experience developing.
- Experience managing risk and implementing information security controls for the client.
- Skilled in incident response, breach detection, and security remediation.
- Knowledge of configuration management for secure systems and networks supporting the client.
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53, DHS, and federal security compliance standards.
- Experience maintaining secure web portals or Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for the client.
- Ability to conduct audits, reviews, and continuous improvement of the client’s EMS or ISO 14001 programs.
- Strong background in environmental risk assessments and emergency response coordination.
- Proficient in preparing security documentation, reports, and user guides for the client.
