What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Insurance CSR position at Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance?
Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance is seeking an experienced and client-focused Commercial Lines CSR to service and manage a book of commercial business. This role also supports our sales team by assisting in marketing and binding new accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive service to clients, producers, and carriers via phone and email
- Accurately maintain client data and documentation in the agency management system
- Process policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with agency procedures
- Prepare essential client documents including certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and evidence of coverage
- Input transactions into the agency management system to generate client invoices
- Ensure policies, endorsements, and related documents are delivered to clients in a timely manner
- Market new and renewal business by preparing complete submissions for the marketing department
- Assist with audits, open claims monitoring, bonding, and binding
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills related to commercial insurance coverage
- Ability to follow established agency procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and sound decision-making ability
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of commercial lines insurance experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages
- Missouri Property & Casualty license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
