What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eagle Care Preschool Site Aide - Full-time (40 hrs/wk) position at Nixa Public Schools?
Primary Tasks & Major Activities
Serve as a Site Aide for the Eagle Care preschool program and operate in accordance with Eagle Care guidelines and district policies and procedures. Successfully incorporate the Eagle Care program vision and the district's mission into the activities. Supervise play activities as requested by the Eagle Care Site Supervisor by participating with children in group games, enforcing safety rules, intervening when children are likely to injure themselves or others, and remaining with the children at all times. Facilitate positive development through implementation of the Eagle Care curriculum. Have a working knowledge of program goals, philosophy, and curriculum.
Educational/Skills/Experience Required
Education level: At least one year Early Childhood Education or related experience preferred.
Certification or Licensure: CPR and First Aid certificates preferred or willingness to obtain
Experience desired: Prefer experience working with young children. The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, patrons and school personnel, good work attitude with a positive and pleasant disposition, and knowledge of school policy and procedures. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must pass criminal records and child abuse and neglect screening as required by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
