Nixa Public Schools is seeking a professional educator for the part-time (12 hrs/week maximum) position of 6th Grade Band Instructor. Specific traits include a focus on beginning band students. Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents and administration.
Educational/Skills/Experience Required
Missouri teaching certification in Instrumental Music Grades 6-12 required. An interest in technology, particularly SmartMusic, is a must. A wind emphasis is required with the ability to teach both brass and woodwinds at the beginner level. Applicant should be highly organized personally and professionally. A belief in the concept of team teaching and team collaboration is essential. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
