We are seeking an experienced, self-driven remote counselor who is passionate about providing meaningful, high-quality care while working in a flexible, fully remote environment. This is a part-time position. Must be licensed to practice in Wyoming.
In this role, you will support individuals navigating real-life challenges by using solution-focused, effective interventions that create immediate impact while also guiding clients toward longer-term support when needed.
Remote Counselor duties and responsibilities
- Provide brief, solution-focused interventions to help clients address presenting issue
- Ensure safety for clients who present at risk to harm self/others
- Ensure that all clients are properly referred to long-term treatment, when clinically appropriate, utilizing their benefit plan and/or community resources
- Provide individual, family and/or group counseling as appropriate
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all client contacts in the Nivati system per established procedures and processes
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans and complete necessary documentation as needed
- Provide effective and efficient management of caseload, including appropriate transitions and discharges
- Demonstrate satisfactory performance on identified outcome measures and client satisfaction reports
- Participate in program development as requested and where possible
- Stay current with best practices and all ethical standards according to your state and licensure and demonstrated continued professional growth
Remote Counselor requirements and qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field
- Active, independent clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LCMHC, LMFT or equivalent)
- Experience providing direct clinical services using brief, solution-focused approaches
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to navigate a wide range of presenting concerns
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on customer service, sound clinical judgment and a client centered approach
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities
- High-speed internet and a private, professional space for conducting sessions via video
- Strong documentation, assessment and treatment planning skills
