Production Quality Technician – Precast Concrete

Nitterhouse Concrete Products is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join our precast concrete manufacturing team as a Production Quality Technician. This position works closely with production personnel to ensure products are built correctly before concrete is poured and meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on position in a manufacturing environment. While quality control is the primary responsibility, you'll spend your day working alongside production employees on the plant floor and supporting the overall production process. No previous quality control experience is required—we'll train the right candidate.
What You'll Do
Quality Control
- Perform pre-pour inspections of forms, reinforcement, embedded items, lifting devices, inserts, and blockouts to ensure they meet shop drawings and production specifications.
- Verify forms are clean, properly assembled, dimensionally accurate, and ready for concrete placement.
- Conduct fresh concrete testing, including slump/flow, air content, temperature, unit weight, and compression test cylinder preparation.
- Perform post-pour inspections to verify finished products meet company quality standards.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns to production personnel before products are cast.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Production Support
- Work alongside production crews throughout the casting process.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and production specifications (training provided).
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with other plant responsibilities as needed to support daily operations.

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, pays attention to detail, and wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to learn and interpret shop drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when production requires.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, precast concrete, fabrication, warehouse, or other industrial environments.
- Experience using measuring tools and reading blueprints or drawings.
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- ACI certification or concrete testing experience is a plus but not required.
Paid training is provided. We're looking for the right attitude and work ethic—we can teach the technical skills.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Overtime as needed based on production schedules.
