Job Overview
As an Access Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our facilities. You will be responsible for managing access control systems, monitoring surveillance equipment, and implementing security protocols to protect our assets. Your expertise in various technologies and systems will be essential in creating a safe environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors.
What you’ll do
- Manage and maintain access control systems, ensuring proper functionality and security measures are in place
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair security systems including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and fire alarms
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and sensors to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement system upgrades or enhancements
- Provide field service support to resolve technical issues related to low voltage electrical systems and cabling
- Prepare schematics for system installations and modifications while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Assist with alarm system sales by providing technical expertise and recommendations to clients
- Utilize remote access software to monitor systems and respond promptly to security alerts
Basic qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with computer networking principles and computer hardware components
Preferred qualifications
- Field service technician experience in the security or telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of intrusion detection systems (IDS) and surveillance technologies
- Experience in locksmithing or construction-related fields
