POSITION: Power Sports Sales Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales and Marketing
SUMMARY
NiteRider Technical Lighting Systems, an international leader in portable action sports lighting, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Power Sports Sales Manager. In this key position, you will coordinate the promotion and sale of our innovative products to maximize market penetration and achieve both short-term and long-term sales growth objectives. As an integral part of our continued success in the power sports and cycling industry, you will be a proven mentor and strategic thinker capable of making quick and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan, organize, and establish departmental structures to effectively attain company objectives.
- Provide mentorship and training for sales personnel, fostering their professional growth and success.
- Develop and revise company sales policies and strategies, submitting recommendations for approval.
- Collaborate with sales staff to review recommendations and contribute to accurate sales forecasts.
- Oversee the application of sales policies and implement periodic promotions to stimulate sales.
- Approve customer discount requests or special services within established guidelines.
- Recommend and help establish or revise selling programs and pricing strategies.
- Conduct field visits to stay informed of market conditions and provide on-site support to sales staff.
- Personally engage key accounts and prospects on a regular basis to maintain strong relationships.
- Stay informed of competitors’ activities and market dynamics through ongoing communication with the field.
- Maintain oversight of salaries, commissions, and incentive programs; ensure timely completion of performance reviews.
- Develop metrics for account managers beyond revenue, including calls per day and product penetration, and hold them accountable.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to identify business growth blockers and develop strategies to optimize performance.
- Report weekly progress to the Director of Sales.
- Utilize expertise in creating and managing Excel spreadsheets for data analysis, reporting, and tracking sales performance metrics.
What You Will Need to Win:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and develop action plans to maximize sales and enhance the NiteRider brand.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Professional demeanor and established conduct.
- Proven capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
- Direct sales experience in wholesale distribution, with knowledge of the power sports and bicycle industries.
- Willingness to collaborate as part of the NiteRider team to achieve common goals.
- 3 years of sales management experience.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel overnight occasionally.
Compensation:
Salary and commission commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
