The candidate will assist the Lab Manager II in the Georgia Tech Proteomics facility within the Systems Mass Spec IBB Core Facility, which includes the followingresponsibilities: Provide proteomics service to broad range of research labs:o Productively interface with Georgia Tech or external customers including pre- and post-service consultationo Work with customers to devise appropriate proteomics strategieso Sample handling/extraction/preparation for mass spec-based analysiso Quantitative or semi-quantitative mass spec analysis of prepared protein sampleso Analysis of MS proteomics data (knowledge of Proteome Discoverer, Skyline, Max Quant, other common software tools is highly coveted)o Basic bioinformatics analysis (additional skills in this area are highly coveted)o Timely and professional delivery of results to customer labs Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art instrumentation and/or methodologies and acquire/incorporate when/where possible to improve core facility performance Maintain an organized and safe work environment
