Position Description: The Associate –HHG Operations, is an entry-level role within the Operations department, supporting the Household Goods team in the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of personal belongings for individuals and families. Reporting to the Supervisor, this role is responsible for shipment processing, documentation, communication, and handling tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of household goods services.
Responsibilities:
- Shipment Processing:
- Assist in the processing of household goods shipments from pre-move planning to final delivery, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Accurately and efficiently enter shipment data into relevant systems, including inventory lists and shipment details.
- Assist in the preparation of basic export documentation, such as inventory lists and bills of lading, under supervision.
- Coordinate with carriers, moving companies, and other stakeholders as directed by the Supervisor.
- Track shipment progress and update relevant parties as needed.
- Handling and Packing:
- Assist in the packing and crating of household goods, ensuring proper protection of belongings during transit, under the guidance of experienced packers.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of household goods, following proper lifting and handling techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during packing and loading activities.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all required shipment documentation is complete and accurate.
- Understand and adhere to basic transportation regulations and customs procedures (for international shipments), with guidance from the Supervisor.
- Follow Nissin's global standards and procedures for household goods operations.
- Maintain organized shipment files and records.
- Customer Communication (Household Goods Focus):
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers regarding shipment details, schedules, and any potential issues, under the direction of the Supervisor.
- Answer basic customer inquiries related to household goods moves, providing accurate and timely information within their scope of knowledge, and escalating more complex inquiries to the Supervisor.
- Assist in resolving basic customer concerns or complaints related to household goods moves, under the guidance of the Supervisor.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to household goods operations, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Maintain organized work areas.
- Learning and Development:
- Actively participate in training sessions to develop knowledge of household goods handling, packing, moving procedures, regulations, and systems.
- Seek guidance from the Supervisor and other team members to improve skills and understanding.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Adherence to Procedures:
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, especially regarding lifting and handling techniques.
- Obligation:

Qualifications:
