Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functioning.
- Diagnose and repair appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances and mechanical equipment following safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct troubleshooting for complex mechanical issues using schematics and technical knowledge; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site maintenance tasks or equipment transportation.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Collaborate with team members to support maintenance operations, including building construction projects or upgrades as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with staff regarding maintenance schedules or issues requiring attention.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to troubleshoot complex equipment issues effectively.
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation, kitchen equipment maintenance, air conditioning systems, and HVAC system repair.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices within commercial or industrial settings.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership qualities to guide team efforts when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely.
