What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assistant position at NISSEN CHEMITEC AMERICA?
· Provides support to the Quality Control Departments and other areas as assigned by the Quality Manager, and/or Quality Staff members. This may include acting in a support fashion in the troubleshooting and auditing of quality control issues. This position also requires interaction with suppliers.
1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Departmental support for quality document creation and revision.
· Develop and execute manufacturing work instruction (process sheets)
· Data entry and graphing capabilities.
· Filing/ record retention.
· Assist in training of new associates into the quality department.
· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize numerous projects and tasks daily with little to no supervision.
· Communicate concerns/issues to suppliers up to and including issuance of trouble reports.
· Other duties may be assigned.
2. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Must play an active role in NCA’s 6S initiatives.
· Our customers have historically scheduled overtime production on weekends periodically throughout the year in order to meet their customers’ demands and to keep their inventories at what they determine are an appropriate level. In order to meet our customers’ demands, Nissen Chemitec America, Inc., (NCA) will likewise schedule mandatory overtime for all associates. Mandatory overtime is an essential part of our associates’ jobs and is required when scheduled. Mandatory overtime is treated as a regularly scheduled workday. All of NCA’s attendance policies are in full effect as they would be on any normal workday.

5. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Must be able to climb stairs to attend meetings on the second floor
· Performing physical activities that require use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying objects, and handling of materials.
· While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and to be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
6. REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· On-the-Job-Training (OJT), and certifications as applicable and required by the company.
· A minimum educational GED equivalent or higher preferred.
· An above average knowledge of any type of documentation control is preferred.
· Average or above average computer literacy skills required.
· An average knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (emphasis in Excel).
7. SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to travel within the United States.
