What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift - Shipping Clerk position at NISSEN CHEMITEC AMERICA?
Brief Description of Position
Serves as the main point of contact between NCA and the customer for production purchase orders and receives and enters daily orders into the MRP system. Communicates delivery issues or concerns both internally and externally, and may either assist or lead the resolution of the issue with the Material Service Supervisor and/or the Production Manager.
Essential duties and responsibilities (and other duties may be assigned).
· Order entry for daily/weekly orders received from the customer.
· Daily communication with the customer regarding the delivery of finished goods.
· Maintain daily communication with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and shipping regarding customer requirements.
· Maintain pricing documentation and product history
· Negotiates shipping discrepancies and tracks customer performance reports
· Receives and ensures responses to customer trouble reports and 5P’s
Other responsibilities (and other duties may be assigned).
· Must play an active role in NCA’s 6S initiatives.
· Our customers have historically scheduled overtime production on weekends periodically throughout the year to meet their customers’ demands and to keep their inventories at what they determine is an appropriate level. To meet our customers’ demands, Nissen Chemitec America, Inc. (NCA) will also schedule mandatory overtime for all associates. Mandatory overtime is an essential part of our associates’ jobs and is required when scheduled. Mandatory overtime is treated as a regularly scheduled workday. All of NCA’s attendance policies are in full effect as they would be on any normal workday.
· May need to work on the inventory when needed.

Qualifications
Education and experience
· High School Diploma
· Minimum 2 years of previous experience in customer service, material service, production scheduling, logistics, or any combination of these responsibilities over two years.
· Job-specific training such as Excel, Word, IQMS, and a basic understanding of quotes.
Physical demands:
· Must be able to ascend or descend 30 stairs to attend meetings.
The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit, talk, and hear. Vision abilities are required for this job due to working on a computer.
