Position Description:
Major Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Project management of new engine model assembly testing. Development of data requirements for advance analytical capabilities to drive efficiencies and reduce the time required for root cause analysis. Update and develop new equipment specification and test standards. Engage suppliers to modify existing tools or develop new test equipment or measurement methods. Communicate cross-culturally with Japanese counterparts and designers to develop and implement new model plans. Create Process standards with process sheets and use best practices to implement new models and engine technology
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) from an accredited institution
Prefer candidates with 3-5 years of work experience related to engine development or testing
Automotive manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Excellent verbal, written communication, and problem solving skills
Working knowledge of quality control assessment such as statistical process control and FMEA
Ability to understand part and assembly drawings as well as wiring diagrams
Project Management experience is preferred
Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
Ability to structure data for visual analytics
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Mechanical Aptitude, Familiarity with National Instruments Hardware and LabVIEW software.
Basic PLC. Data Acquisition knowledge
Understanding of data analytics
Working knowledge of common engine laboratory measurement and instrumentation equipment and diagnostic tools
Working knowledge of PID control systems and logic Familiarity with AUTOCAD or similar software package
Fundamental knowledge of engine components and function; ability to determine cause and effect of parts specification to engine performance and quality
Basic knowledge of Tableau and data structuring
Poses the drive to want to learn new technologies in the area of digital acceleration
