Join our dynamic automotive dealership team as a Parts Warehouse Associate, where your energy and precision will drive our parts distribution operations forward! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, accurately picking and loading parts, and ensuring seamless shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise in warehouse operations, heavy equipment handling, and materials management will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact customer satisfaction and dealership success. You may be asked from time to pick up or delivery a part to another dealership. Gas assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick parts orders using RF scanners and
pick systems to fulfill customer and internal requests efficiently. - Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting for damages, and updating warehouse management systems.
- Organize inventory through proper materials handling techniques, including stacking on pallets, storing in designated areas, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Assist with warehouse distribution activities to ensure timely order picking, load & unload operations, and accurate stock replenishment.
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and implement best practices in warehouse management.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory movements, incident reports, and safety inspections.
- Support the overall efficiency of the warehouse by participating in training on mechanical knowledge, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling within an automotive or construction environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load/unload activities.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving processes within a dealership or construction setting is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively across departments.
