Main Line Technician

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical components.
• Execute routine vehicle services such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance checks.
• Repair and replace automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively.
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures.
• Expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electronic system troubleshooting.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, and suspension systems.
• Skilled in brake repair, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and general automotive maintenance.
• Familiarity with ADAS technology, automotive electrical systems, welding techniques, and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable.
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems repair equipment confidently.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in the automotive repair industry with auto estimating experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide outstanding customer service.

Pay: From $23.40 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
