Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, diesel engines, and other key components with precision.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
- Repair and replace mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools.
- Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers or service advisors.
- Stay current with industry advancements such as ADAS technology, GM vehicle systems, and automotive electrical innovations to provide top-tier service.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for precise troubleshooting.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and auto estimating software.
- Ability to diagnose complex issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
