Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts, including sourcing, purchasing, pricing, and inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and sourcing options.
- Oversee warehouse management activities such as shipping & receiving, storage organization, and equipment repair to maximize efficiency.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, order management systems, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for accurate data entry, order processing, and inventory tracking.
- Coordinate demand planning and logistics inventory management to prevent shortages or overstock situations while supporting manufacturing and auto body repair needs.
- Conduct regular audits of automotive parts management processes to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality controls.
- Lead procurement management efforts by sourcing high-quality automotive parts and accessories while maintaining cost-effective purchasing strategies through negotiation and market analysis.
- Support dealership or service center operations by providing expert knowledge on vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, and auto repair procedures.
- Supervise warehouse staff in shipping & receiving activities, forklift operation, and inventory management tasks to uphold safety standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis to optimize supply chain workflows and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts & accessories management, vehicle systems, OEM sourcing, and auto body repair processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management software; experience with CMMS is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in procurement management, negotiation skills, demand planning, and logistics inventory management.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, equipment repair, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.
- Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures; forklift certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with suppliers.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing large volumes of inventory records efficiently.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and dealership operations enhances overall performance in this role.
