PARTS COUNTER ADVISOR

The Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting internal and external customers with processing requests for parts.
Primary objectives include ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and assuring the right part is obtained the first time.
Assist technicians by looking up correct parts needed for vehicle repair.
- Answer phone calls and greet walk in customers in a timely and friendly manner.
- Collect necessary customer information and add/correct in computer system if needed.
- Monitors the progress of the part request and contacts customers regarding any changes in shipping/arrival eta.
- Tracking all incoming or outgoing parts for the dealership.
- Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock.
- Handling part payment collection and making sure all parts are billed properly via invoicing or service workorder.
- Checking in daily parts orders and putting away stock on shelves. Locating items in correct bins and adjust as necessary.
- Pick, pack and ship customer orders and/or dealership returns according to department policy and procedure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow direct instructions given by management.
The Parts Advisor helps customers and technicians find and process vehicle parts, manages orders and inventory,
handles payments and shipping, and ensures accurate and timely service while maintaining good communication in
a fast-paced environment.
