JOB SUMMARY: Supports the Engineer Supervisor in daily operations by monitoring supply inventories, performing various administrative tasks, and serving as the department's safety officer. Ensures the functionality of the casino property through effective participation and coordination of work across all shifts

Requirements

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or GED certificate,
• Five years of building maintenance related work experience
• Knowledge of Casino engineering operation functions.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC and ability to troubleshoot.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Provide a Driving Abstract
• Must have a valid Driver License and Driver's abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to train, oversee and coordinate activities/projects
• Computer competency with excel word, email building automation, systems and work order software

• Basic math skills.
• Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
• Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays

Preferred Skills And Knowledge

• Three years of supervisory and leadership experience in the facilities area.
• Knowledge of Nisqually Red Wind Casino policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Certified Electricians License
• Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling certification
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull.
• Ability to stand or move around continuously for 8 or more hours.
• Ability to repetitively lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
  
  

Essential Functions Of The Job

• Reinforces safety procedures for the engineering staff.
• Reviews staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Reports to Engineer Supervisor regarding issues or problems that arise on any shift.
• Provides maintenance support for all departments and assists in the development of maintenance programs for all equipment (Kitchens, HVAC, Fountains, Septic Tariks etc.).
• Utilizes CMMS and ensures maintenance, repairs and requests are dealt with in a timely manner
• Support coordination of complex projects accomplished by engineering staff
• Ensures that inventories of supplies, tools, etc. are adequate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
