Job Summary
The Continuous Improvement Project lead will Supports Project Management Center of Excellence. The Project Lead will work with business leaders, frontline workers and subject-matter experts to diagnose, design and deliver on process improvement opportunities. The Project Lead will work to provide guidance and coaching to ensure effectiveness of initiatives. The incumbent will work with a cross functional team to apply process improvement and change management tools and techniques, assist in identifying opportunities, bring execution knowledge and manage adoption and change to realize operational and financial benefits.

Essential Functions
- Map current processes, define, implement and measure improvements
- Provide training and coaching to employees on continuous and process improvement methodologies.
- Assist with the implementation and adoption of the Project Management Information System (PMIS), supporting configuration, rollout, and user onboarding and documentation.
- Lead / supports key initiatives (or cross functional initiatives) and best practices as needed
- Develop and write policies and procedures.
- Implement corrective actions and audit to ensure compliance to new processes and procedures
- Identify and resolve barriers and roadblocks to improvement initiatives
- Help build organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate best practices / knowledge sharing across the entire organization.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field.
- 7-9 years experience in the gas and electric utility construction industry
- Experience navigating in matrixed leadership and business environments and comfortable working with teams.
- Skilled in coaching and facilitation, including frontline workforce to sr. leader audiences.
- Demonstrated experience leading and/or participating in projects and implementing solutions that re-engineer or streamline processes, work practices and/or change strategies within a function or specific capability area.
- Proven knowledge and abilities in the principles of change management and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and assimilate new information.
- PC Tools Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Travel to NiSource facilities for project-based work as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate through a complex organization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI
