What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant/Customer Service Representative position at Niskayuna Glass?
Niskayuna Glass in Schenectady is seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team of office staff and customer service representatives. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Customer service (answering phones, taking orders, resolving customer complaints and inquiries)
-Order & data entry (experience with SQL-based databases is helpful but not required)
-Clerical Duties (filing, ordering supplies, etc.)
-Other common office tasks
Punctuality, reliability, and organizational skills are a must, as is attention to detail. Candidates should be able to multi-task, be self-motivated, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior clerical or customer service experience is preferred. Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is beneficial as well. Experience in the glass industry is helpful but not required; the ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn about the glass industry in order to better serve our customers. Candidates should also be proficient in the use of fractional measurements and must be able to use a tape measure. We are currently hiring for a part time position, Monday-Friday 12-4PM.
