Do you have a passion for working with young children and helping them learn, grow, and thrive? Jack & Jill Preschool at the Nishna Valley Family YMCA is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Preschool Teacher to join our team.
As a Preschool Teacher, you will help create a positive and engaging learning environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during classroom, playground, and enrichment activities
- Maintain open and positive communication with parents and staff
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and licensing regulations
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Qualifications:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework or degree preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families
- Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic
- Must pass required background checks
