What are the responsibilities and job description for the THIRD SHIFT FINISHING SUPERVISOR position at Nishikawa Cooper LLC?
Schedule and distribute manpower for departments under their responsibilities in order to satisfy customer requirements in the area of service and quality.
Oversee training and retraining all associates in the various assigned departments. (Emphasis on cross-training, safety, and ergonomics.)
Coach/Counsel associates to encourage and enhance career and self-development.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment on problem solving activities.
Manage departments to meet attainment, efficiency, quality, scrap, 6S, plant initiatives and budget targets/goals.
Leadership by example while supporting guiding principles; treat others with respect, one piece flow, problem solving excellence.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Minimum of three - five years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory/leadership role – leadership required and /or associate degree with minimum 2 years manufacturing supervisory experience, or bachelor’s degree with minimum of 1-year previous supervisory experience preferred.
Proven verbal/written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and organize department and production requirements.
