What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level CDL-A Reefer Driver - Paid Training - Set Lanes position at NIS EXPRESS?
East Texas drivers know the I-20 corridor. Now you can make a living on it. This reefer fleet out of the Dallas area runs set lanes from Texas into Tennessee, Illinois and Georgia, and it pays new CDL holders $850 a week while they train.
Training
- 4 to 6 weeks on the road with an experienced driver trainer
- $850 per week while you train
- Your own truck after sign off
- $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
The Lanes
- Refrigerated freight on set lanes: TX to TN, TX to IL, TX to GA
- 1,800 to 2,000 miles a week
- Home every two weeks, depending on location
- Mix of drop and hook and live loads
Pay
- $1,300 to $1,500 average weekly gross
- Sliding pay scale that rewards your miles
- $25 stop pay
- Performance bonus plan

Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL, 21 or older
- New drivers: 120 hours from an accredited CDL school
- Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the past 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
- Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical
