What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level CDL-A Driver – Paid One on One Training position at NIS EXPRESS?
NIS Express is now accepting applications in Orangeburg, SC. If you finished CDL school and are ready to put that license to work, we will train you the right way – paid, structured, and at your pace.
YOUR TRAINING
Three to five weeks with one dedicated trainer. You run actual freight on actual routes from the start. Your pay runs from day one – not after training ends.
What you will learn on the road:
- Class A tractor-trailer operation and safety standards
- ELD compliance and hours-of-service logging
- Pre and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Dispatch communication and company procedures
You go solo after supervised miles and evaluations. We do not cut corners.
THE JOB
- Regional dry van freight east of I-35 – 100% no-touch
- Drop and hook approximately 70% of loads
- 2024–2025 Freightliner or Kenworth tractor with APU
- $1,200 to $1,500 per week via direct deposit
- Home time every week or every two weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school
- Clean driving record
- Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
