What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A Driver Dry Van - Home weekends -No Touch position at NIS EXPRESS?
We are seeking professional CDL-A drivers for a regional lane based out of Sedalia, MO. We understand that "home time" is often a hollow promise in this industry. On this route, we guarantee a 34-hour reset every Saturday and Sunday so you can plan your life around your job, not the other way around.
Compensation & Logistics
- Base Pay: $0.57 – $0.64 CPM based on verifiable experience
- Average weekly gross pay $1,300 to $1,500
- Top 20% of our regional drivers earn $1,700 per week
- Sign-On Bonus: $4,000 paid out in milestone installments
- Performance: Earn an additional $0.03 CPM for safety and productivity
- Support Pay: $12.50/hr detention after 2 hours, $100/day layover/breakdown
- The Run: 100% no-touch freight, approximately 60% drop-and-hook
- Equipment: 2022 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680
Schedule & Route
- Home Time: Weekly Saturday/Sunday reset — every week, no exceptions
- Mileage: 2,200 to 3,000 miles per week
- Operating Area: Regional Midwest, average haul 450 miles
RequirementsTo maintain our safety standards and insurance compliance, candidates must meet the following:
- Experience: Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience, trailers 40ft
- Licensing: Valid Class A CDL
- Age: Must be 21 or older
- Safety Record: No major moving violations in the last 3 years, no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- Compliance: Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen
