Job Summary :
The ETL Tester will design, test, and troubleshoot data storage systems. They will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic, and uploading data in target tables.
Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Design Test Strategy, Test Plans and Automation for QA of ETL functionalities implemented across variety of custom scripts, jobs, and packaged solutions.
- Identify test cases which must be automated and prepare test automation strategy.
- Perform partial E2E validations of the ETL scenarios with multiple test scenarios and test data.
- Write advanced SQL queries for ETL/data warehousing/Business Intelligence testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Professional Experience:
- 6 years of strong experience in ETL testing
- Experience in Agile projects (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
- Strong SQL experience in Oracle OR NoSQL OR RDBMS OR Big Data
- Data warehouse testing experience involving the testing of stored procedures, slowly changing dimension tables, Change Data capture etc.
Specialized Skills:
- Understand data flow and test strategy for ETL, Data warehouse and Business Intelligence testing
- Ability to go through the User stories and understand the technical aspects required for aspects of ETL/Data process
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of fundamental quality assurance concepts and best practices
Strong PC skills; MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
