Nirvana is building the infrastructure layer for healthcare payments and benefit verification. We help providers instantly understand what care is covered and what it costs, bringing transparency to a system that’s historically opaque and frustrating.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale our core products, including our customer-facing platform and internal billing systems.

This role is highly product-focused, you’ll own features end-to-end, work closely with product and design, and help shape what gets built, not just how it gets built. We want someone who solves problems independently, thinks critically about tradeoffs, and iterates quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Build and scale features across the stack (Node.js, React, TypeScript)
• Own projects end-to-end: design → build → deploy → monitor
• Collaborate with product and design to iterate on ideas and deliver intuitive, high-impact user experiences
• Solve complex technical and product problems with simplicity and scalability
• Lead and mentor teammates, contributing to architecture and best practices
• Explore new tools and ideas to make our systems smarter and faster

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of full-stack experience with strong backend and frontend skills
• Proficiency in Node.js, React, and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices
• Experience with B2B products or enterprise workflows
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Software Engineering, or related field

Preferred

• Tech Lead experience or proven ability to translate user feedback into successful solutions
• Startup experience and strong product mindset
• Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
• Passion for mental health, healthcare, or fintech
