Job Overview
Nirvana North is seeking empathetic individuals to join our team as Community Service Specialists. As a Community Service Specialist, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their independence and well-being.
The Community Service Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing community engagement and support through various programs and initiatives. This position is responsible for implementing positive support plans and goals with an emphasis on community integration and skill-building. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, time-management skills, a passion for public service, and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
The hours available are 3pm-6pm and are Monday through Friday with the ability to work weekend hours 12pm-5pm as desired.

Duties
- Implement all positive support plans and goals
- Provide in-home care in a therapeutic and fun manner
- Conduct assessments of individual needs to inform program development
- Maintain records related to program activities and services provided
Requirements
- Experience in the human services field preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to de-escalate situations
- Experience working with individuals with a dementia diagnosis preferred
- Strong observation and documentation skills
- Ability to problem-solve independently and adapt to different environments
- Dementia care experience preferred
