What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Materials Laboratory and Field Technician position at Ninyo & Moore?
Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Field and Lab Technician in Las Vegas, Nevada. Duties will include performing lab and field testing, the maintenance of field and laboratory equipment, data files, reports, letters, and other pertinent field data. The successful candidate will also maintain clear communications with the Project Manager / Supervisor regarding all aspects of the field / lab operations, such as providing neat and orderly project documents.
Required Skills: The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of previous soil, asphalt, and concrete testing experience. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, ability to work independently, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Required Certifications:
- ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1,
- NAQTC Sampling & Density (SD), Aggregate (AG), and Asphalt (AS) or Asphalt Extended (AE), and
- nuclear gauge certifications
- or ability to obtain in 6 months.
