Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, is hiring a Billing Specialist for our Accounting Department in San Diego, California. The purpose of this position is to support the project management staff. The Billing Specialist Accountant is responsible for processing outgoing invoices. This position interacts with a diverse group of clientele and internal contacts at varying levels of the organization, including coordinating with the Administrative Coordinators, and Division and Project Managers.Essential Functions:Assume responsibility for outgoing invoices. Prepare Invoice Draft copies for Project Manager approval.Process final invoices along with billing backup and send to client.Process Sales Journal and review monthly billing with Project Manager.Work with Accounts Receivable for any revisions needed to enhance collection efforts.Assist Billing Supervisor with updating company rate tables and project set up.Assist Controller with month end close of billing cycleEssential Skills and AbilitiesCommunicate both orally and in writing to issue, receive and carry out instructions and orders effectively and to convey information to a variety of co-workers.Use a variety of common office machines, such as telephones, calculators, copiers, computer terminals, keyboards, video display terminals, auxiliary printers and similar equipment.Knowledge, Skill, Competencies, and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn new skills.Knowledge of Deltek Vision Software a plus but not mandatory.Attention to detail, integrity, organization, communication, interpersonal, clerical, and computer skills.Good judgement and discretion in prioritizing and delegating.Able to work collaboratively and lead by example using tact and discretion.5 years of Bookkeeping/Accounting.
