Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our Houston, Texas office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, working closely with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
- Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
- Coordinate and participate in field activities, including:
- Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
- Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
- Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
- Perform engineering analyses, including:
- Foundation design and evaluation
- Slope stability analysis
- Settlement analysis
- Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
- Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians
Education
- B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
- M.S. in related field preferred
Required Skills & Experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in geotechnical consulting
- Familiarity with local engineering practices and Houston-area projects preferred
- Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
