Primary Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable network and server infrastructure supporting voice, video, and data applications.
- Manage network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Oversee virtual and physical servers, Active Directory, and enterprise storage, including backup and disaster recovery operations.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in alignment with state and judicial standards (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls).
- Administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including backup, high availability, and performance tuning.
- Lead the adoption and enforcement of ITIL Change Management and configuration control processes.
- Supervise and mentor technical staff, ensuring alignment with best practices and departmental goals.
- Manage vendor relationships, maintenance contracts, and software licensing.
- Collaborate with audio-visual, help desk, and application support teams to coordinate system upgrades and deployments.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and project plans.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible IT infrastructure experience, including two (2) years in a management or supervisory role.
- Experience in enterprise networking, server management, and database administration required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and secure network design.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficient in firewall management (Sophos, Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar).
- Familiarity with enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), backup, and DR solutions.
- Solid understanding of SQL Server administration, replication, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments (Microsoft 365, Azure).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and project management methodologies.
