Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cooking and able to make house recipes. This job consists of making all house recipes from scratch. You must have an understanding of the kitchen and time management. If you have experience with Italian food it would be a plus. Some of the food items that youll be making from the house recipes are marinara sauce, alfredo, pesto, meat sauce, fried eggplant, meatballs and more. Just to give an idea. I am looking for an experienced person with a minimum 5 years experience. The hours are from 8 am-3pm Monday-Saturday. Please do not apply if you do not have the experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring proper stock of ingredients while minimizing waste.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics to improve efficiency and quality of service.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Chef or in a similar leadership role within the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, inventory management, and restaurant management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Excellent communication
